My Disco 300tdi makes a knocking sound when taking power. It doesn't appear to have a loss of power. It does not do it in gear and the diff lock in neutral. Any ideas please?

Check uj joints and rear rubber prop joint!!!then check cv joints!!

Check your UJs, props, rubber donut and the A frame bushes.

Hiya pal just had this prob. As ferret and warrior suggested I checked to uj's and mine was the rearmost uj on the front prop.
So thanks to the above.
