yay - then you too can have a locking rear end spin under hard braking due to the calipers needing less fluid than the drum wheel cylinder to lock up.....

Just add an adjustable brake bias valve as well then!!

I blame all this modern texting malarkey. Would never have got away with it at school in my day, more likely to get a good slap around the head by the teacher - IT WORKED!!

Too expensive, tie a not inn yore reer flexy ...
Or put grease on the pad friction surface, makes them last loads longer too.

You could but I know I'd rather spend 30 odd quid on a sensible solution to a problem...

Anyway. I've taken the drum off and can't see any issues such as rubbing. I've backed the shoes off and its still the same. could it be something else?

Prop seems fine... Also each wheel feels different it would be the same if it was the prop? I'm going to take the shoes out just to make sure

Any of the bearings, seals, and bushes could do this. Load moves to different areas under braking, and it may be unloading a worn/pitted/thrown part. Eg the rear lifts under braking, unloading the rear axle.
Could also be a broken tooth in the diff?
My money's on a wheel bearing.

Ok. Managed to get some time today after I bought a trolly jack. I've located the sound of the noise. It's diff side of the prop on the rear. The diff has a guard which on close inspection is way too close to the UJ and as such is catching on one side as it spins. Seems to get worse when warm. I've spaced the diff guard with a washer which has solved the issue.

I also removed the drums and checked the brakes which are all ok
