So I’ve purchased a 2004 TD5, much nicer than my 2000 TD5.
The key fob is inop, one of the micro switches is missing and the other lights up the led but doesn’t lock the car.
I’ve got my old fob that I know works and a mate with Hawkeye, is it possible to code that fob to my new truck with Hawkeye?

Only if you have the original bar code which came with the key by new otherwise hawkeye can't do it so you need nanocom to work with the short code which is on the PCB

Ah, that’s not good then, I don’t suppose we have a “map” of nanacom users willing to assist for beer tokens on this forum?

Coincidentally I've been looking into this because I've lost my spare Freelander key. It seems the Autel Ap200 reader can reprogramme keys. Any opinion on this
@sierrafery?
Edit: And it's cheap - £46 on their own website!

Freelander is a different story cos it's more OBD2 friendly than the D2 so it's possibe o work with Autel while the D2 i'm sure it's not
