Hi All,

Has anyone any experience of using a guy called 'mrsporty' for fob repairs?
His feedback is pretty good, and seems like he knows what he is talking about from his advert, but just wondered if anyone has used him?
Ebay item number 131049783877

Other than him, can anyone recommend somewhere to repair the fob?

Thanks
Simon

Which part of the key fob needs a replacement? If it's just the buttons, you can buy a replacement part on eBay and fit yourself. It'll be a lot cheaper than getting someone else to fix, and you can make sure it's done right.

Suspect the main chip has gone.

Have had the BECM over to callrova for repair, he has sorted the BECM, but says the fob is faulty.

Since I posted the OP, have had an Email from callrova, he says he can fix some fobs, but mine has had it, so not sure if its even worth sending to this guy advertising on Ebay :-/
I have got a second fob with the vehicle, but this has never worked while I have had it, possibly might be better sending that one see if it is repairable?

Any thoughts?

If the main chip is fine I can repair fobs with no problem.
That chip holds the data & can't be accessed.
My recomendation would be to buy new from the dealer.

Hi Rick, for some reason I had got it in my head that you just repaired BECM's, should have asked you first about the fob repair!

Would you take a look at my spare fob if I sent that over to you, it hasn't worked since I have had the car, but hopefully may be repairable?

Thanks :D

For what it is worth i used him , the battery bridge had broke . It came back with a new one and new battery and buttons , worked ok for a few years while i had the RR
