has anyone got any ideas why when i change my key fob batteries they only last a week before i get the message on the dash that says "key battery low" they work fine and stay working for months but rangey dissagrees!!!:D

Why??

Probably just because it can!!!

There's been several other posts saying similar; I seem to recall one cleared by disconnecting battery earth lead for 10mins (make sure you have EKA!!)

it happens on mine occasionally,I just ignor it, soon gets the message whos in charge(if only) and goes away.:scratching_chin:

The FOB design is bad, the buttons are too easily pressed when residing in a ladies copious handbag, or a blokes pocket for that matter. My theory is that a button gets held in causing a drain on the battery so when you go to use it it signals a low battery. After the button is released, the batteries recover and the message goes away. I have not had the message since I stopped putting the FOB in my pocket.:)
