hello guys having trouble with starting car cant seem to set up code for fob i have a 1995 4.6 all started with flat battery had to use eka to get past alarm now does something different every time i go to it, last time it beeped few times when i lock and unlock and when i closed door, display says press remote and enter key code, remote had new batteries couple of months ago and red light flashes when pressed.any ideas would be appreciated.thanks in advance.
been doing all strange things really.battery went flat,remote would not work,unlocked with key just drivers door i put booster pack on and it locked my keys in car broke in got keys put booster pack on went into alarm, finally after opening all doors 1 at a time alarm stopped put key in got press remote or enter keycode ,engine disabled. charged battery overnight put in today went through the whole scenario again came in and posted this thread went out disconnected rf blue wire reset eka code still came up press remote. came in read more went out pressed fob and it worked and started engine so even though i got it started still not sure how but still have blue cable disconnected could this be the root cause rf has green marker spt on ? is this ok thanks

Green spot means nothing, it's which variant you have inside the box that matters. Old innards in new boxes are not unknown from Ebay.
Do a search, I posted photo's a while back.
P38's do not like low battery voltage, that is probably the source of most of your problems. A good big battery works wonders, such as the 135Ah 1000CCA jobby from battery megastore on line. (no affiliation)

How long have you owned this range rover? I reaken about 2 weeks.
There's nothing wrong with the car. You need to relax & read the manual & it will explain everything in there.
In the meantime, you need to learn how to resynce your key fobs to the car.

I take it you have used the EKA sucessfully in the past?
At this moment, do you unlock with the key & just the drivers door opens?
When you go to start, it displays, engine immobilsed, press remote?
Or is everthing working now as it should?
