My kenlowe fan has been running fine, until I realised one day that it wasnt coming on at all, thankfully we were not in a traffic jam on a hot day. I think that the fuse casing is what has broken, so its simply not connected. Problem is where do I buy a new casing from? The pic shows the two parts. It looks like a fuse wire to me, but i really dont know what I'm talking about! Its a 17" fan, with manual/override and fast/slow switches, and is well over 15 years old.

Any ideas gratefully received...Thanks

Try a search! ;) Been a lot of discussion of this before. Most suggest remove and refit standard fan and cowl, that is what I did.

To be fair, that looks like an older model Kenlowe which are supposed to be a bit better than newer ones. Have you rung Kenlowe about the part? And google search for ebay etc?

Thanks i did search but obviously not very well! part of my problem was that i wasnt sure what term to search for, being the numpty I am i was only guessing it was the fuse casing. I'll phone kenlowe, if its expensive I might just ram it together and bind it up;) i dont think it blew, it just got knocked somehow. Thanks for the advice tho.

Looks like you've got enough spare wire there to just cut it off and fit a modern fuse holder and fuse. That's what I'd do. Then at least replacing them would be easy as it would be a standard size.

Bog standard blade fuse and female Lucas connectors on the wires - job done
That's what more recent Kenlowes are fitted with but don't fit the smaller type one with the mini fuses. Too fiddly, and there's a better supply of the larger blade fuses whenever you visit a car breakers yard.
