So whats the story with the TD5? total rebuild?

The chassis has a few holes.
Both swivels are leaking
Possible front propshaft uj's replacing
Steering box leaking
Oil in the ECU loom
Two doors need maybe replacing
It needs a damn good clean inside and out.

But the engine and running gear are sweet
The bulkhead is solid.
It's got 124,000 miles
Service history to 92,000
Only 2 previous owners
Blummin good price.

your picture of the 110 loaded looked like the tyres might of needed a little more air in them is all.:)

So a comment back to goony and back to me

Ah yes it was just a trick of the light, I gave em a kick and tested them for 415 miles and they seemed ok. :D :D :D

Well it's job done. It's unloaded and I'm now wondering what I've taken on

So all in all it was a good trip.

Rangie did o.k, 23.4 mpg with unloaded trailer and 20.9 mpg with the 110 on the back.
830 miles over three days.

I'm going for a lie down now.

I know you have done the trip , but i always found for long trips and piece of mind with drag reduction advantages as well , just remove the tyres and weld the rims to the load bed . Its worked for me for years :screaming_bug_eye_f

I'll have to remember that one. Must dig out my battery mig welder and mobile tyre fitting kit. :D
