Having noticed that the lights on my 90 are nigh on hopeless, (not long had it) rather than the expense of LED I have just bought a set of Wipac upgrade. Easy job!! Well the KBX surround is held on by two screws on the grille side, but what of the other? I tried undoing the indicator and sidelight lenses (needless to say the plastic housing snapped, so will need to be replaced) Do these housings actually hold the surround in place. I don't want to force it and break anything. Bloody plastic fittings. Any help would be appreciated so I can have some decent light hopefully.

If it's held on in the same way as a normal surround then yes.
2 screws on the grill side and the sidelight and indicator need removing. It'll then just fall off.

I've got the KBX grille set and it screws on the same way as the original fella. Indicator and sidelights do need removing.

Thanks guys, Having seen how crappy the original side light and indicator housings are with snapping plastic everywhere I have ordered a complete set of new ones so I can change the lot. Once these have arrived I will have another go. Cheers

I have seen a youtube about upgrading your headlights with relays and a direct feed from the battery , there is a kit available but I have not yet done it but they look a lot brighter on the video.

Why not look in the Landyzone CFAQ section rather than promoting other sites?

I just stuck some new Osram Nightbreaker Laser bulbs in mine and they seem a lot brighter than the old Phillips bulbs which I removed although not actually driven it yet, just flashed the lights to check they worked and they looked considerably less yellow and brighter.
Had considered the Wipac Crystal upgrade myself but will see how these do for now. One thing I did notice when changing my main bulbs was that the actual headlight didn't appear to want to come out with bull bars fitted.

Looks like this thread has gone a little further than a simple bulb replacement though :p

Look forwards to your results with pics obviously

I've fitted the Nightbreakers with the Wipac crystal lenses - excellent, I don't see any point in changing to anything else, they are at least as good as many new cars. I do have additional earths to each light unit from the engine block, and new connectors in the wings, which probably help.

I have the same KBX front kit and it all came off easily, love their build quality actually. LED head lights have dropped consiberly, many landy guys have had some good results with this type and style. Do your research well on them since some info can be misleading. I think for the most part, anything LED will be better than the original candle lights.

Do a search and you will see many threads with guys using this type...

Just found this re-seller who is in the US too and for the NA market.
They claim that they actually assemble these in house in the USA at USD 129.00.

As I was just reminded, these are intended for the Noth American market and not for RHD vehicles. Since they assemble these inhouse, I will ask about pointing aiming them for RHD lighting direction.

Nice to see that they took the time and effort to do an actual unbiased and continuous unedited video demo of the product.
