Mine is a Serengeti model. Apart from two pop up, removable glass panels in the roof, I don't think it is any different from standard. The ac has stopped working so I'm not taking it it to the Serengeti.

Cheers col, was there a Serengeti model or are you pulling me pudding. My Freelander is a basic commercial model but it still has pop out sunroof panels. Also was the Kalahari Freelander painted in yellow ?

It's true they did a lot of special editions including the Kalahari an Serengeti.
The Kalahari had the option of being yellow. It was a normal spec model with some eggstras from the accessories list which increased the price, then discounted a bit as a promotion.

There was a Serengeti FL1, which from memory was a lower basic spec than the Kalahari. I'm sure the Serengeti was based on the GS with some accessories added. The Kalahari was based on the ES with some accessories added. I had a catalogue on all the models and specs, but can't find it now. So apologies if my memory is off.
