Hello all!
After the engine went and a complete rebuild is in progress, I'm going to change the water temp. sensor aswell as all the other bits and bobs. It's got a small leak and when every other gasket/belt/pump/valves etc. is beeing changed, it needs to be replaced. :)

Well, ordered this one from Ebay. However, it does not seem to be the same connector?

Anyone know if they changed over the years?

This is the one I've got:

That is the sensor for the later K -series 1.8 (>2001 MEMS3 ECU) the one with coil packs.
The earlier engine with distributor cap has a brown (coolant temp sensor) and blue sensor (dash temp gauge)

you can see the blanked 2nd stub on the coolant elbow in the pic where the second sensor screws in

Thank you very much for the info. Alright, then the sensor I bought is for the old MEMS 1.9 engines, at least I can use it on my MK1 MGF then. :)
Does anyone happen to have the correct part number for the sensor I actually need? :)

A picture to show what Mr. Northern Irelander is on about, for future users that might use the search function. :)
