I've been offered a k reg defender 110 station wagon 200tdi? 12 seater as px on a discovery i have for sale!

Its a nice tidy car everything looks solid underneath, it has all the expedition stuff with it (snorkel, fridge roof rack, hi lift jack etc no winch.

Whats it worth? its got t&t till august 09.

i want a pulling machine for local work! would this do the job?
What 4x4 system has it got? center dif? manual select 4wd?

Lol any input would be appreciated!

If yer disco is a seies one or two then its the same as the defender, check the bulkhead on the defender for corrosion

I've had a good poke around the defender and it all seems pretty solid! drives surprisingly well for its year! genuine 130K and one lady owner! from new!

My disco is a series 2 auto so i dont know the 5 speed manual in the defender!

On a K plate its one of two gearboxes lt77 which has reverse away from you and forward or the r380 which is towards you and back for reverse. Both boxes are fine but the lt77 is regarded as being better that early r380s.
It will have a center diff transfer box which will be lower geared than what your used to in the disco. Full time four wheel drive (same as the disco) with selectable hi/lo box and diff lock
