Hi peeps,im thinking about putting a k&n panel filter on my 1.8 petrol 2000 model and was wondering what your views are?it needs a new filter and had k&n,s before so thought i would fit one,i cant quite afford a full induction kit so going for panel instead,are there any advantages/problems?i was going to fit one on my v8 disco but was advised not to because oil did not agree with the air flow meter.

I would`nt risk one on the 1.8 engine, it would not cope with the extra air flow, and blow a gasket.......:hysterically_laughi

I've a custom K&N induction on mine with conical filter, works great. You'll be grand. You'll notice it a little more responsive.
