Last night I collected my First Landy, a 1980 Lightweight with a 2.5na diesel engine. 150 miles and 5 hours (we did stop for tea) later, she was sat on my drive. I am sure I will have a boat load of questons over the coming months and years. some of them no doubt daft to experienced owners. I live in stoke on Trent, so my first question would be anyone know a good local repair shop as I would like an expert to give her a good once over, just so I know what I am starting with.

Ey up and welcome....get to know it first...have a crawl about and see if there's owt that stands out,,,start with the simple stuff and work your way up....be prepared to get covered in oil and grease ,you'll soon get to grips with things :)

cheer for the hello's I was kind of hoping she would mean I got my hands greasy I reckon she will be about the same technology as my BSA A65 used to be, spanner first then hammer. out of interest delivered december 1980 will I be needing a metric or imperial hammer?

No!!, always hammer first:)

And you will be needing both types of hammers on a lightweight, good luck
