I've been looking around for ages, and my patience has paid off. Got this for a good price - full service history, excellent condition, heated front and rear screens, heated seats, rear parking sensors etc. I originally wanted a silver or black vehicle, but I'd never seen this colour before and rather liked it - I don't know what it's called though?
It's not going to be a mega project, just optimising it to my liking for camping trips, light green laning and general weekend toy.
I gave it a very good clean inside, and a quick jet-wash; cleaned the leather steering wheel and gear knob, got in all the cracks on the dashboard with a paint brush and polished all the trim. I've also treated and restored all the black trim externally.
Oh, and I've fitted my 'One Life. Live It' decal to the back window!
Owned it for only a few hours and the spending has already started!
Ordered already:
- Full set of silicone hoses.
- K&N air filter.
- EGR blanking kit.
- PCV modification part.
- Exmoor Trim rubber mats.
Planned:
- 5 new tyres. Geolandars?
- Slimline stainless exhaust.
- Changing headlight bulbs.
- Bonnet vents.
- Double DIN head unit.
- Sound-dampening all panels.
No doubt there will be substantial expenditure in addition to this!
Things that I've noticed that will need attention:
- I'm getting a bit of dampness in the rear in that little bucket thing. It's not very bad though.
- I tried the power fold mirrors, and the nearside one did a weird click-click-click thing when it was going back, and now it moves a bit loosely to the touch.
- The switch for the heated front screen doesn't switch on. I'll have to investigate.
