Interesting comment Bukko.
Intrigued to know why I would regret it though?
Especially if I fit it sikkaflex-ing the parts on to form a seal so water cannot get behind it.

Those vans are so cool - ugly as hell, but very cool.

Those body kits on the other hand are ugly as hell and very not cool! I suppose though its a bit Marmite.

I see where you are coming from....but.... I quite like the part on the wings and arches.... but dread the door panel.
The thing is..... I find the Hippo a bit...... well...... basic looking..... and before you ask "why did you get one then" - please read my profile.

Have you actually seen one fitted?
They look pretty darn awful!
In fact they look like exactly what they are, i.e. a car with bits of plastic stuck to it.
I almost bought one once, thinking I could rescue it from its shame.
But then when I saw it I realised I would have to drive it home, and decided not.
(Bit more to it to be fair, car actually broke down while I was viewing it  )

To be honest, the car this one came off had been stripped a long time ago.
it beats me how these kits used to be over 500quid, and now are like gold dust to get hold of.
anyway.... each and everyone's opinion is welcome... but for some reason, I think (THINK) I like it better than plain ol' black everything.
Besides.... I'm far from ready to fit it.... still have the engine and box in pieces to rebuild and fit.

Maybe I should look at selling the kit and buying the FL1 face-lift items. (bumpers, lights, light grilles, ANGLE GRINDER to get it to fit and a big hammer too!)

Now that IS a good idea :)
Especially as some of the bits which were hard to get seem to be available again now!

Seriously, if you fancy fitting it, of course go for it. Opinions vary wildly after all.
Trust me though, it sounds like a better idea than it is.

Most of the Freelanders here are ex-Japan - and the Japanese like those kits, so there's quite a few here.

One thing I've noticed is that, whether you like or dislike the styling, once 1 of the bits falls of, the motor looks really naff then!

It's like sticking those plastic rods that your air fix spitfire components were stuck to, onto the fuselage of the finished product.

Normally corsa drivers if there int a tratterer about. :p
