Seriously?!
I assume you did the calculation right? No insult intended! I just know there's a different between US and UK gallons so I think it's easy to get the calculation wrong using Google on smartphones etc. I could be wrong, and it could work the other way, but 36 in an auto, doing 70, sounds almost too impressive! Wanna sell your engine? :D

Nope, got it right and double checked as I was surprised. Traffic was light so it was just a case of sitting there at a steady speed with the engine sounding and feeling better and better as the miles clocked up. 2,500 mile round trip in 36C at one point and the oil and coolant levels stayed exactly the same.

That's fantastic! Any mods on the vehicle? Air filters, intercoolers, exhaust, de-cat, de-egr....?

Mine varies so much but 25 is my best on a long run
Not really modified. Have put HD front prop with grease points on the joints on and Ashcroft extended transfer box sump. Serviced just before we went with genuine LR bits with special attention to the brake calipers to make sure they were free and moving nicely and never do short trips, always gets warmed up thoroughly. Otherwise standard and running more road biased tyres. Already got the same trip planned for Sept 2023, we did notice in Italy a lot of folk in other cars were waving and giving thumbs up!
