You can't use the "legal" argument, there's nothing illegal about what I'm doing. So you wouldn't let your own kids drive? You can't learn from theory, we both know that. Sitting besides someone doesn't help in the slightest.

By safe and legal im talking about the sites themselves and as for my kids driving then no i wouldn't your statement on sitting besides someone is just silly i learnt that way both from my Dad & in the Army watching the gear selections and how to handle gradients and decents aswell as mud/snow/deep water driving you can learn lots from watching experienced drivers, then when your legal you gain more experience by putting into practice what you've seen and taken on board.

So what is it you have the big problem with? I spend most evenings repairing her, I've never lied about having a license, I don't do stupid things (mainly because she's my pride and joy) and I'm always willing to help out when people need it. I don't see what the big issue is.

Your too young to be behind the wheel full stop, no license no insurance think it about it will ya, im im not saying your not helpful im just stating that im glad the sites around chesterfield are making things tighter and safer for people to use so they dont have have to worry about non licenced / insured drivers like yourself.
More and more regular users of Blackhills / holy / pilsley have had enough of non licensed drivers using the site and the owners are now listening which is a good thing.

Well I was taught by a guy at yorkshire 4x4 who told me he started when he was seven. He was on look north the other day giving advice on how to be a safe driver in and on off road vehicles. Should he have not been allowed to drive? Because he was allowed, he has become one of the safest and best off road drivers in the country, which is why he was on tv.
It shouldn't be simply ban non license holders because people who have been coming for years will suddenly not be allowed to go anymore. I would accept if on arrival a marshal sat in with you and then decided if you are suitable but it should be the same for everyone. I think you would agree that someone just pulling in for the first time off the road is more of a danger than someone who doesn't have a license but does have experience. Don't get me wrong, I don't claim to be the best but I do claim I'm not the worst and not a danger.

Lots of sites are taking up this stance now heres a few

4x4 Events

Home | www.muddybottom4x4.com

Cowm Leisure (Whitworth Quarry)

http://balaoffroad.co.uk/

Kent based offroad club, For 4x4 enthusiasts and those interested in green ... as for the dartford pay n play site the web site is ... dartford pay and play is now shut thay had a fatal accident there with no insurance

Also shortly holymoorside / pilsley and blackhills

Im not stating your driving ability is poor im stating your too young to drive simples...
And i think its a good thing that sites are stopping non licensed drivers.

There is no legal requirement to be any age or have insurance. Simples. Most people's insurance wouldn't even cover them anyway.

Is there a way to get a mod to remove all this crap cos we've hijacked this thread and made it 3 pages longer than it needs to be as well as changing the subject.

No leave the thread alone its fine and it helps people make there own choice on the matter be our opinions right or wrong at the end of the day its the individuals choice and the fact of the matter is your too young to be behind the wheel.

is there a reason you dont have a licence, and most modified insurance policies cover for off road and green laning

You can't call it your opinion then call it fact in the same sentence. The fact is that I am not too young to be behind the wheel. There is nothing illegal with what I am doing. If you mean in a road sense then I am still not too young. A person can drive from aged 16 if they are receiving higher rate disability benefits.

And i think you might find most people have the correct insurance aswell, I know for a fact the guys that i run with all have mods declared and are fully legal we even hold licenses.:D

I don't have a license simply because I'm not old enough. It's not because I'm banned or anything if that's what you were wondering. All I can drive is a scooter right now (I don't have one though or want one).

Your far from disabled kiddo ive seen you

I'm not too young to drive. There may be reasons why I can't but the reason is not age, the reason is because I'm not receiving disability benefits.

Time to leave now. Fearne you may as well start a new thread, this one's gone in a different direction I'm afraid.
