The electricity in my house is blue and brown, not black and red. Is that coz it's got more volts?? And what's the greeny-yellow stripey one for? I haven't got one on my battery - should I worry?

The house leccy is AC, so it uses different colours!
A C stands for alternating current. This means the current uses the blue wires and the brown wires on alternate days. The yellow and green stipey wire is there to make sure your stainless steel kitchen sink doesn't electrocute you when a brown wire reaches it.

Ah yes that makes sense. But that presumably means I should swap them all over in a leap year. Good job I've got one of those "electrician's" screwdrivers.
My electric razor doesn't have the greeny-yellow wire. Does this mean that I should stop sitting in the sink to shave? Or is it just to make my hair stand on end to help me shave. If I shave while driving will that be alright because the car hasn't got that wire either?
I'm really learning lots of stuff on this forum!

I don't have an electricians screwdriver but i have some plumbers Y fronts, will they do ?

When my fool runs away I feel a complete idiot. Some people have been known to feel a right tit in this situation.
I once met a Welsh guy who said he had been feeling a right C*nt for some time.
He looked a bit sheepish afterwards, but I am told the sheep had a happy grin on its furry face.
