Yes I know its a tyre question
Been searching for a couple of hours but cant find my answer?
Just fitted some bigger tyres to my disco. The tyres are 235/85/16 Insa Turbo Dakar's
I had to trim the lower front bumper and a small part of the rear arch to make sure they don't catch but I still have a problem with a severe judder??
It only occurs when manoeuvring at very low speeds like parking? normal driving it seems ok but I have only done a few miles. It seems to happen as soon as I start turning the wheel. Is it the tread pattern skipping across the road surface? or are the tyres catching something I have missed like the radius arms. I know there are steering stops somewhere could that be my problem?
A friend of mine has the same size tyres (BFG's) and he has made no modifications like cutting etc and his are fine, we both have a 2" lift.
Only driven it at 30mph and it corners and seems fine at that speed no juddering ??? I thought if it was hitting something I would still feel it?
Over to you guys, what's the bet its something simple!
