i get a judder when i give the discovery 300 tdi any heavy throttle above 3000 rpm. feels like fuel starvation. below 3000 or light accelerating throttle and everything is fine. could this be air in the lines/somewhere?

You changed the fuel filter?

you sure it's not a mechanical thing such as the UJs ?

yep i changed the fuel filter and made sure there was no air in it. i suspect if there is air iys futher down the fuel pipe, maybe in the IP. how would i do i full air bleed?

could be a prob in the running gear somewhere thats putting up the resistance, not fuel starvation.

just found out that there is a second fuel filter under the tank. took this off and cleaned out. had 1/4 of crud in it. replaaced then turned the engine over. started then died when fuel ran out. turned over till new fuel reached the injectors and away it went. seems to have cured it. thanks for your help tho.
