Good Morning and Happy new year

I have just purchased a performance chip that fits onto the maf/map sensor on my 2004 td5. just wonderedif any one else had fitted one and what colour wires you used and does it make any difference?
you connect it to the 1.5 volt iat wire and the other wire to the earth wire . i dont have a wiring diagram for this .

Many thanks Andy:)

Surely it will say in the instructions but tbh doesn't sound like a good idea
How much did you pay for it? Mike at dynachip is about £200 and comes to your house

No its simply a nasty trick on MAF, it makes Air appear colder to ecu and therefore more fuel.

Buy a reputable tuning box or a reputable remap that has proper testing- was this ****e off ebay?

yes this was a thing off of ebay . had a feeling it would be a waste of time . havent fitted it. dont think i will bother , just get a proper remap. or is there a proper plug and play chip out there ?

many thanks

waste of money and time,as others have said, get a genuine re map done.;)

I had Mike at Dynachip do my 110, worth every penny of £225, that resistor trick fooling the ECU to over fuel just causes more trouble than its worth.

Mine is a 2005, so it was just a remap, not like the earlier ones that had to be opened up, when he came down here to Suffolk mine was the forth car he had remaped that day.

ok,that's the difference then, mine was a new chip etc,on a D2.Very very pleased with the results. He will go anywhere for the same price, luckily he did not have to travel far to do mine.nice bloke as well.

The local independent Landy place nearby wants £480 plus vat to do the same thing as Mike, but all they do is send the car to a general re-mapping place where the knowledge base of Defenders and Land Rovers is minimal, I was impressed with how thorough Mike was with the diagnostics and increased the power and torque with monitoring the exhaust gas temps and matching the re-map to each engine.

He certainly knows his stuff, without a doubt.Plus he explains everything he does, does not mind answering questions etc, would recommend him without a shadow of a doubt.

mike dynacip
he is very very helpful, will drive to your home/work and do the job, let you test drive and get your feedback - never heard anything negative so far and he claims to have 100% success on the remaps he has done so far which i believe is true...

Mike has done work for me and I found him to be first class !

He goes above and beyond to ensure his customers are happy with his services.
