Just keep the tank reasonably filled. Half a tank of fuel and a Jerry can full taking up the spare wheel space seems a little counter productive to me.

It fits inside the spare Saint.

I have a faulty sender which caused me to run out of Diesel. Now a bit nervous despite keeping the tank topped up. With the fuel economy of these things I figure a gallon in the boot won't make much difference to the over all running cost.

Fix the sender ?
The link to Amazon shows some fire extinguishers. Can anybody recommend one which has a mounting and can sit somewhere sensible ?

fill the tank full and watch your trip meter as to how many miles you drove. trip meter can work as fuel guage

When I get round to checking my intank pump, if it's faulty then you can have my sender unit, it's working.

Not entirely sure but don't think sender unit is detachable from diesel in tank pump. Petrol one was certainly replaceable at one time but non listed for diesel other than complete pump and sender. ;)

Oh, OK....but then how is the wheel/jerry can assembly strapped down as the spare is bolted to the floor with a large plastic thingy (from memory!)
