And a nuvver fing......some kunts cut the two tow bar bolts off the bumper right at the base ffs... am i right in thinking these are captivated nuts?
My 200 is a 92 i only had a quick glimse while i was looking under neef finking recovery points... they look like captivated and someone cudnt get em off so chopped em off wi a grinder... best av a proper look me finks... not 2day cos the homebrews on the goOn my 200 the bumper just has two holes in it.
I had to remove the top trim to get in and stick some bolts up from below and stick nuts on them.
I think later discos might have had captive nuts though...
sounds about right. Are they welded jate rings or proper ones?Ive used the welded ones withou issue but some think they are dangerous compared to the forged ones.Went to craddocks today fer a few bits n thort these were cheap
Jate rings x 2 £18 2 x diff guards £25
Welded i couldnt get hold of the forged ones n thems way too dear fer me, Ive had a bit of a nightmare this afternoon..... had to jackrear up right up to get the diff guard on the tank was in the way...had to put2 holes in the top of the rear bumper to get the tow bar bolts out that some tw@ had cut heads of.....sounds about right. Are they welded jate rings or proper ones?Ive used the welded ones withou issue but some think they are dangerous compared to the forged ones.
Yeah you have to jack the body to get the rear diff guard on.Welded i couldnt get hold of the forged ones n thems way too dear fer me, Ive had a bit of a nightmare this afternoon..... had to jackrear up right up to get the diff guard on the tank was in the way...had to put2 holes in the top of the rear bumper to get the tow bar bolts out that some tw@ had cut heads of.....
The anchor points where jake rings go are these the same lugs the lower tow bar brackets fit to? theres a bolt in both of em but no heads or nuts and they is stuck solid any ideas how to get em out? i started to drill the 1 out but just burning the bits out i assume they is high tensile bolts
