ok having found the rot in the rear how does one remove the metal jacking block, i cant seem to see any fixings?

We did both of ours, and on our rr, there weren't any fixings just had to do a cut and weld job...very tricky. We used an old welder who has retired now, but it was a massive job and we did all the prep work which was substantial! It was well worth it in the end, but as I said a lot of work, good luck.

I seem to have a similar issue, the O/S sill has turned to a strange reddish/brown powder when I wasn’t looking, despite having somehow passed an MOT only. A few weeks ago.

The advice is…, well the sensible advice is to walk away from this money pit but i feel a really odd sense of responsibility to get this fixed and properly, so the advice is that most of the that will needs cut out and a replacement welded in (presumably including the jacking point).

Has anyone had any joy in finding replacement sill repair panels ? (There’s a guy on eBay doing some for around £100 but they’re only 19” and I suspect I need more)

Also how much of a pain is the actual welding ? Or is it not horrific once the exterior panels (which bizarrely remain unrusted) are removed ?

Any help or advice very welcome particularly from anywhere around the west of Scotland !
