I have deliberatly left mine with "weaker" needles only affecting above 3500 rpm to save fuel, as a landy rarely goes there

Plenty of sheds out there bolted together to run ok not many that run well I don't want to fall into the doesn't it sound nice misfiring overfuelling heap of dog you usually get.

Its true an awful lot of v8s you see, particularly off roading, are just about keeping running!

It's worse that that one of the regular trials drivers in national comps runs a 3.9 on carbs he has to slip the clutch to pull away in 3rd low box in a lil 80 inch hybrid thy weighs less than half a RRC because it runs like a bag o **** at low revs and only makes any power right up the rev range due to carbs and some really silly fast road cam.
 
thats probably more the cam or ign timing but yeah they are a bugger to keep tuned but its becuase I cant wait for mine to bed in and I keep fiddling with the carbs too soon.

I need to put more miles on it and then do it again!
