Aye, the 318iS is good fun and they do handle well, mine was the M42 before I changed it. Bought it over 5 years ago. Was factory specced with the tech2 kit on it. I must admit im hooked on 24v now though. M50 is like the M42 but with 2 extra cylinders I guess but obviously heavier. A 6 pot that likes to rev. Screams to 7.2k. Goes well, would love to charge it sometime when funds allow, turn it into a real beast.
Bilteins and eibach/H+R is meant to be one of the best setups iirc. Im after coilovers for mine eventually.
super !!! looks really nice-a strut brace is on my crimbo wish list for mine,along with a sport map light mirror,is it same colour as mine diamond schwartz black ? tbh i much prefer the tech 1 kit to the tech 2, a mates got a nice tech 2 sport, i want a tech 1 sport one day with the extra 2 cylinders be much quicker although mine is nippy around town,

Yeah the Sparco Strut brace is a good one, not too expensive either but blooming thick and solid. Hehe, sport maplight is nice but they go for a lot now dont they. Yep, its diamond schwartz. Tech1's are very cool but even more rotten than most tech2's it seems so hard to find.lol.
right lads.... ive had the call, the squeeky belt is just being replaced and the disco is ready to roll
im meeting the landyzoner Juicyv8 who is in the area in 90 mins time, and were going to get her, hes going to give it a proper look over for me and ensure i either dont waste my money,or drive home in my new disco with it all being good !!! fantastic !!!

good stuff man, i dont know much about strut brace, the is only a 4pot so wont need a mega one, maplight mirrors about £45 -not too bad, also pondering a rear blind parcel shelf, for that fully loaded touch !!
tech 1 your right can be rotten, id say near impossible/big money, to find an original un restored decent solid one, you can pick up a very nic one thats had a good restoration and everything done and a respray etc for £3-5k range, all depening on exact condition and milage etc, same as tech 2 sport money...you see nice ones asking £3.5k ..and some asking 4.5/5k , weather they sell for that price or not is anyones guess, 3.5 in the pocket youl get a nice one of either
i was pondering selling my xr3, spending 3.5k on a tech 1 sport, and having that in the garage for summer, and my is, as daily car...but decided il keep the xr3 in the garage for the 80s retro ride (they are going up and up in value too) and my is, and spending 2k on a disco..and feel then the 3 cars together will be a nice balance, thinkm il get a lot of pleasure out of a disco and the fun factor and off road fun etc

Hehe, id sell th XR3 but then again im just not into Fords. Yeah, the should be good, thats the reason I bought my Defender really, was so I didnt have to take the BM out in the winter and iv always wanted one of my own.lol
