Had a close call today, heading for home doing 40 mph along the main A road cattle trailer on the back when I had one of those " it only a slow old Land rover coming along,I can get out before he gets here" syndrome.
Only trouble this time it was a bus! and how the hell the driver thought the bus's arse would clear the junction before I got there I don't know.
Good condition brakes on 90 and trailer and high grip road surface saved the day although things got a bit squirrely for a while.
If I had a pound for all the times this has happened recon I could purchase a full set of tires for Landy and trailer.

Lucky your brakes were in good order! That would have been a hell of a mess - and a legal/insurance nightmare.

Report the dick.
The bus will probably have cameras all round which may have caught the incident.

I thought it was just me! Crazy how often it happens (I think the Epsom Green is equivalent to an invisibility cloak too....) - glad you were on the ball, the brakes are usually pretty good, just as well! Cheers, A

Funny how drivers can't see you in a six foot high vehicle, even with the headlights on. Buggers. I don't mind the ones who pull out and floor it so much - it's the pull out and dawdle brigade who get my goat.

Strange this. This never happens to me they usually see my smokey old landy swerving down the road and stay well clear

Haha yes especially in filter lanes, I think the Audi drivers don't like the sill guards :D
