How about this one then....

Land Rover | Freelander | 2005 | For Sale | Buy | Turners Auctions

The bumper/door/lights etc can be priced up from the local Freelander scrapper, but how bad/repairable is that chassis damage?

Freelanders don't come up that often in these damaged car auctions, but, waiting for a bus like, there's a L Series Freelander in the same auction. Its a 2wd with very high milage and has had a frontal with airbags deployed and windscreen broken. So that ain't going back on the road and not really a great spares car - unless the price is same as scrap metal value.

Looks pretty fixable to me. There is some body damage under the bumper area but it should pull out ok. You need to check the rear quarter for creases. Also the door shut gaps and chassis rail the tow ring bolts to as it might have taken a hit.

Hi Gerald,

The 2005 Freelander in Hokitika has an auction estimate of between $3000 to $3500.

The 1999 Freelander passed through auction this week and has been rebooked for the 8th of January. This has an auction estimate of between $800 and $1200.

Thanks

Subject: Freelander 2005 in 8th Jan damaged car auction

Hi Glen,

Do you have any idea what the reserve / expected sale price is on this Freelander?

Has the damage affected the rear subframe?

Did the '99 Freelander that went through yesterday get any bids? What sort of price is that one expected to fetch?

Thanks
Gerald

So thats about 1,600 and 500 quid respectively. Given their pre-crash values would have been about 6,000 and 1,250 respectively, the 2005 facelift is not bad value. Mind you, he didn't answer about the damage.

I'd say that it's good value for the Facelift ;)
