just go lookin on u tube. I am amazed and horrified or simply awe struck at what some hippo pilots have been doing in theirs!

Only really got mine for its towing ability and so it can pull the tin tent off a sticky field but have found it can do so much more.

As for this recent bad weather snow far snow good!!
Nice to be able to drive and not worry so much
about what the weather is doing

First off I own a freelander sport I bought the sport as it spends more time on the road than off it. Has been awesome in the snow had no problems.
We have Defender 90’s, 110’s and 2 new freelanders on site which I get to drive.
The defenders are awesome off road nothing will touch them wadding through water or going up steep muddy slopes but that is what there made for.
However they are uncomfortable having nowhere [other than out the window] to put your right arm and sitting with your knees round your ears thanks to no leg room. The 90 is more maneuverable, than the 110, I think a super tanker could turn round in less distance.
The new freelanders are really nice to drive, comfortable on long jurneys with lots of toys,
Off roads they are quite agile, and will get through most things other than sticky deep mud and deep water, they wont go everywhere the defenders do, but that is why we have both.
In short, if all your driving is trekking up steep muddy slopes and through deep water then its got to be a Defender 90, if not then the freelander is the car to a have. :)

are you a baboon, or do you suffer from some form of physical defect ?

Oh, for heaven's sake, anyone can agree that the Defender is not a particularly comfortable vehicle, no matter how much we love them.

Cheers

No probs with mine....Nothing has gone wrong with it or even fallen off!!...awesome in snow and very practical. I'm not even a hairdresser....waiting for abuse back!!! i dont think i'll have to wait long

Nowt really wrong wiv mine, just wish I could have afforded a newer one or an automatic so the missus could drive it! Might then be able to persuade her to trade up next year.

Never seen my FL1 as being gay - always thought it was something todos with the Gaydon connection?? anyhow, trying to convince boss (wife) that we need to trade up to FL2 - Please tell me this is not gay!

IS that the motor or the missus?????or have you gotta death wish,,,,lol:D

Ha! well mean't motor but yes, not clear in me written. Maybe trade wife for FL2 and hope it turns out not to be gay? - the FL2 that is.

Anyhow, is the FL2 gay and do we care?

i have a new FL2 and its a heap of ****! major vibration problems....they've all got it coz i've had the courtsey cars too but LR refuse to accept there is a problem and keep telling me its "acceptable".

fl1 isnt gay but spending huge money on sumthin that expensive is totally gay.buy an old one and spend a few hundred on good spanners and socket set.people who buy new cars do so because they'd **** themselves if somthing goes wrong,or theyed have to go to the dealer.

It's amazing the difference a new set of drive shafts makes.

if you feel insecure because the fender(bender),and disco boys call your heap a gaylander,go buy an opel zafira.

"Acceptable vibration" on a £30,000 motor, are they fecking kidding...

nope! the bastards!!! Visiting them again this week with my car and armed with a letter from an Independent Road Tester. Hoping they will budge this time. If not i might refuse to leave the showroom and cause a scene! haha
