It's with a little regret that I've decided it's not worthwhile keeping my Series III, nor fair on it since it just sits there day in day out just getting s*** on by the swallows in the barn. I've put it off for a while but basically I just don't have the time to use it and as a result it's just taking up a little space and won't be getting any better with lack of use. So it's time to find it a better home.

Quick summary of what's been done:
  • New galvanised chassis from Richard's
  • Galvanised footwells
  • All brake pads, wheel cylinders, pipes and master cylinder new
  • All lights are new - headlights upgraded to H4 bulbs
  • 4 little used mud-terrain tyres (5 unused road tyres also available)
  • 3 new doors - back one is heated but haven't connected it up yet, and as per photos only have undercoat at the moment
  • New injectors + glow plugs
  • New alternator
  • Roof rack (won't fit the 110 so will be going as well)
  • Champion 10,000lbs winch (optional, might decide to keep it)
I think that's about it, currently doesn't have an MOT because it's not being used and will probably need a new head-gasket before the next one but apart from that runs well.

Bodyworks a little dented (some bulldozing of snowdrifts on Strata Florida over Christmas with fenby1967) but that part of what used a Land Rover's all about isn't it?

So there we go, any questions just drop me a message.

where are ya and how much?
Currently - London / Guildford but the Series is in South-West Wales, border between Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Having said that I do travel around the country a fair bit (though not in the Series obviously).

Price is negotiable, I've put in about £2.2k all told into it and I realise I'm not going to recoup that but in an ideal world it'd be nice to recoup as much as possible of it...

Seeing as you noticed it just before I replied - I hadn't considered it and I'm not going to - why destroy something which needs a little bit more work? The only reason for selling is I just don't have the time to finish it and/or use it so would prefer it to go to a "good home" like a little puppy...

sorry you feel the need to sell looks like a nice little project there and should be a good motor when finished. a bit of nato paint and a new head gasket ;)

Good luck with the sale ed, wish i could have something like that myself but doris wont even entertain a defender

Well unfortunately I haven't had a chance to do anything to it since last Christmas (and even then I was only just able to fit the new alternator, doors and roof-rack). And I don't see myself having any time in the next couple of years either so rather than let it deteriorate sitting there I decided to sell.

Unfortunately it's not quite practical enough to use as an everyday vehicle, the "new" 110 is fantastic - sits comfortably on the motorway with a full-load, quite quiet and with 10 seats has plenty of space.
