I never do business with any company that only has a mobile number - its to easy to disappear :(.

That doesn't really work thesedays as an argument, a few "larger" small companies I know of do have a geographical number, but its not connected to any landline, its merely a forwarding service, cheaper for the business but still gives the appearance of a landline.
 
a few of our clients insisted on a landline number, they don't care that it's on permanent divert to one of our mobiles, as long as they have a landline number.

No great shakes, about £20 a month for a business line with BT

Same with me,most travellers have no land lines,so never any business from me.if I cut off a few genuine firms so be it.
My phone is also on permanent divert to my mobile.
