I have an ITG foam filter fitted and a blanked off EGR. My MPG has gone from 20 to 25 for urban driving. Anyone else get similar results brim to brim?

I get 24mpg out of mine round and about with the EGR connected, thats brim to brim

I value my 1 MPG advantage!

The car does not have to kick down so much on hills too, so a nice improvement. May get a chip or tuning box next

that sounds like a good mod tell me and forgive me but where aand what is the EGR to blank off ?

didn't think the BMW engine had an EGR to blank off.... if so - where is it? (piccy?)

Yes the later P38 M51 engine has an EGR at the front of the inlet manifold. It has a pipe bolted to it which you can blank with a 1p coin and then disconnect the vacuum pipe. Just google M51 EGR or TDS EGR.
