until I was driving along the motorway and the vibrations got more and more until my teeth were chattering. As I pulled in with an obvious flat I say the smoke from the tyre. Fixed that on the hard shoulder. Went to tyre station next day and noticed diesel dripping from underneath engine. Got home quick. Gave bonnet release a good yank and the handle broke on both sides. Got bonnet open, and the spill rail nuts had vibrated loose with diesel everywhere. Sorted that, degreased engine and hosed everything clean. Sorted. Changed cable. Went to market today, came home. No ignition when turning key. Usual dash light came on plus the brake warning light! Checked fluid, no probs there. Guessed it was something to do with solenoid and after some acrobatics I found the power lead was off the solenoid. Vibrated or hosed loose! Somehow got it back on and all back to normal, including the brake light not coming on. (Some quirk in earths or something with the solenoid lead off). Hoping for a quiet day or two at least....
