Just thought I'd let you know, me landy only bloody passed it's mot with only 1 advisory!!!.
There is a God.

Lucky git! Mine had 11 - eleven - ****ing fails, including ****e like the horn and sidelight which both decided that NOT WORKING whilst ONLY within the MOT station would be highly amusing.

unlucky moonie, it's sods law that if your lights are going to stop working, it'll be at the mot.
I was lucky, i've finally found a garage that will mot according to age, and won't try applying 2009 standards to a 30 y/o car.
My only advisory was "vehicle structure has slight corrosion", not bad for a 30 y/o vehicle. The guy even reckoned that my flexi pipes were original, not sure myself though.

Well the station is expected to mot a vehicle according to its age, thats the mot standard.
If a landy or any vehicle is v reg or earlier then you dont even need lights at all, but if they are fitted they have to work.
Congrats on passing, I go to a place that mot's rally prepped cars, and is sympathetic to their needs, so I have a bit of a chance.

It rather sounds like I need to go to an mot station that is a little more in tune with vintage landies - the mot tester admitted to me he did not even know the rule for older vehicles re seat belts and had NEVER tested anything so old.

When I last took my Landy for the MOT, I stopped by my brother's house so he could drive me home from the test centre.

On the way, my indicators stopped working... and my brother told me the brake lights were also not working. BUT THEY HAD ALL BEEN WORKING BEFORE !!

I have to wait a couple of weeks for my bundle of joy, I'll ring the garage ahead of time and get them to stock up on printer paper.
