iv just got me a new off road toy

its a 1978, 109 pickup shell chopped and modified to fit on a shortened discovery chassis and all the running gear from a 200tdi disco

it needs a bit of work to get it to the standard i want it, roll bar, truck cab fitted, defender arches, hi lift jack and front and back winches

was on ebay that thing want it? it got a beer keg as the fuel tank in the back?

the only problem with the beer barrel fuel tank is that you will never own the fuel tank as beer barrels remain the property of the brewery.

yes it was an ebay buy :doh:,,,

had my landy man take a look (he building a 6 wheeler so knows whats what ) he said it mostly just needs finishing off, its safe, it drives well so im happy

won a nice roll bar on ebay Land Rover Series Roll Cage on eBay (end time 13-Jul-10 20:13:27 BST)

I like I do like the 100 inch hybrid idea.

To be honest it could be better finished than it is, but the engine, body style and wheel base all add up to a good all-rounder.

Two of the two runners in our trials championship this year are running similar trucks.
