Hi All :)

Finally managed to give the TD5 a proper wash on the exterior, underneath and engine bay.

So 2 things that I have noticed since doing this!

1. Water leaking through the footwell.
Notice the mats were wet, then what looks like a bolt hole to were the water came in as power washing underneath. So question on this, is what would you suggest to plug this (these, as I've noticed more) bolt hole with stop stop the leaking! I've attached pic for reference.
2. Passenger electric window.
Was working fine after washing, then put the windows down, stored in garages over night. Next day driver electric window works fine, however passenger window wont go up. Immediately thought the water may have got into the wiring and blown a fuse - so had a look at the fuse board and have no idea what one it would be. Also if it was the fuse, wouldnt that mean the the drivers window wouldnt work? Again I've attached a pic for reference.

As always really appreciate you help and suggestions and apologies if it comes across as daft questions - still learning!

That hole is there to let the water out which comes in through the windscreen, the doors and the other multitude of gaps and holes in the bulkhead.

@ForceyBoy which manual are you working with ?
I presume you have a manual ?

This one:

But still unsure of what is what as originally it didnt come with electric windows, but one of the past owners have put them in.

Though had been looking at this to for the fuses: link here

It would suggest fuses F34 and F35, but looking at this diagram and the pictures I posted - it seems I'm missing that section. Also it wouldnt be a relay of sorts would it? And what does the green relay mean?

Sorry more questions!

Knowing some previous owners bodgery it probably hasn't got any fuses! Follow the wires from the door or the switches and see where they lead you.

You’re right! I’ve gone through all the fuses - not one for the electric windows! Thinking note they must have put it to a relay! 😬

Still need a fuse.
Sort of pointless checking the fuse box, although your photo shows non standard wiring.

Well, I don't know - I've had cars where the previous owner has powered accessories by stuffing the stripped ends of the wire between the positive battery terminal and the clamp, so anything's possible. There is a fuse bay specifically for the windows. Mine's got manual windows but it's still there. They might even have used that, you never know. Even if they did use a relay, the chances are it's been left rattling around under a seat with the wires attached to the terminals with insulating tape. I'd start with the switch. See what colour the wires are and what direction they appear to go in. I'd also take the door trim panel off and see if there's any sign of 12v at the motor.
