Well, yes and no. If you've just unloaded a shed load of gear from the back and the arse is in the air the self-levelling is quite useful. Most of the time it is just a PITA though.
The problem is that when you have just unloaded half a tonne of gear, unless you turn the ignition back on, the arse end stays in the air until the next ignition off self levelling cycle. Shame the boot open does not enable leveling with the ignition off.

Tailgate disabling is saviour when wanting to stop it kevelling when working on the car, which is depressingly often!

Wondering if I could re-wake mine on tailgate opening ? I have a relay that removes power from the delay relay when ignition is off. I could use the "tailgate open" to temporarily keep the EAS powered ?

Grrrr, just use the door open option.

Don't like leaving the door open as they tend to blow shut or let rain in and allow the car to flex when on the jack (although that doesn't apply to Rangie so much). Tailgate leaves access to tools, keeps the worst of the rain out and generally doesn't get in the way.

Great idea to link to tailgate! Running a basic switch in mine for a while and have not come up with any issues (except when i forget and get the slow message). Would be good to link to ignition on/off. Whats the easiest/closest pts to hook this up?

Assume you have not had any issues with this?
