anyone else having difficulty getting parts from island 4x4? i ordered parts 3-4 weeks ago and despite numerous emails,phone calls etc i am getting nowhere.maybe its just me.
I have always found Island 4x4 very good.
They are not good at relying to emails but I found them very helpful on the phone when they sent me 2 left hand brake calipers instead of one right and one left. They sent a replacement immediately and told me to keep the wrong one.I made an order on 1st may, and they took the money off my card same day, said may take a couple of days, but no sign and no reply to my emails, sure there are supply problems but a two line e-mail just to explain would help.
I left it for a while as it's no good getting excited with the present situation, and then just e mailed so they could reply at leisure, sounds like I need to phone them.They are not good at relying to emails but I found them very helpful on the phone when they sent me 2 left hand brake calipers instead of one right and one left. (whispers) - I've done that too....order something you don't *really* need for a few pence to tip it over the £50 mark to save the £5 delivery....Island has always good for me ,bought everything i need from them ,even a plastic fixing thing costing less than a pound to take me over the magic £50 free delivery,,.....RR.
Yea iv got a box with 70 plastic clips i will never use ..............only kidding iv got .......1....How many parts have you got you will never use........I've done that too....order something you don't *really* need for a few pence to tip it over the £50 mark to save the £5 delivery....
from their website;
COVID-19 – Due to reduced staffing levels, orders are taking longer than normal to process. We are working hard to get your order to you as soon as possible but please allow 5-7 days. Thank you for your patience.
stands to reason they might not be instant if still on reduced staff
I agree, i emailed eurocarparts, no response whatsoever. It's not good PRI can appreciate the current problems but after more than a month a quick e mail may be appropriate, they had enough staff to cash the card payment.
