Looking at a few options for mine but top of the list is a new battery. Had a few issues recently which I think has stressed the battery to time to replace. Other than that I may try to replace the hinges on the back door as the sag means it is very close to scraping the floor when I close it.

Of course as anyone who has read my previous posts knows, two nice things mean I will be rewarded with a horror story :(

Mine got some Sikaflex delivered today for the passenger side A pillar, it was leaking a bit the other day but since been OK but I'm taking no chances. Got plenty of Captain Tolley's elixir left from the driver's side though!

I think for Xmas,

All Disco owners should get the EKA code for their motors............:p

Cheers
Inspired by the guy on Facebook that didn't even know it was a D2? ;)

Already had Dolly remapped for Xmas and birthday prezzie shortly after xmas, she's had a new stereo, load cover, and is getting some new wiring, might get her a snorkel and a light bar too!

@RyanDay1 ,

Yeah, first question D1 or D2? his reply D2...............twenty plus comments later, the PO tells him "I sold you a D1"............:rolleyes::rolleyes:

What can you say........:p

Cheers

Got a couple of cadmium plated steel nuts and bolts on the stays on the spot lights that are going rusty to change for some nice shiny proper brass ones, with some even nicer brass domed nuts to finish them off.

Hoping to unwrap a shiny new LED light bar on xmas day... my personal present to the disco is likely to be in the week between christmas and new year, if the weather's half decent... a full wash, interior valet, and a few scratches dealt with!

A rather expensive and extensive floorpan overhaul involving YRM extended outer sills, inner sills, A & B post repair panels, closing panels. The bodyshop doing the work are using it as a fill in job and making a really superb job of the project. Expecting completion in late January; will just need to refit the interior to get back on the road.

Picked up a low mileage factory recon engine with full injection system, air con pump, PAS pump, alternator, starter etc. last weekend, so that will be the next project at the end of the summer once I have had a few months use out of the new stiffer shell.

Sure is.. !!
Full service
Good wash and brush up, followed by..

Getting comments from the Missus that worry me....she thinks mine is too much to look after and we don't actually need a Disco.....She's right, I mean hardly anyone actually NEEDS a Disco but when did that ever matter. When did she last not buy shoes/jacket/jewellery because she didn't NEED it, well it's like that for me and my Disco.

Oh yeah...and if she reads this then someone hacked my account to post it, I never would have said that

Here yer go boys, a gift from the Freelander section. Yer welcome :D

Mine just got a full weld up/ save from the scrapper. ;)
January I'll tax her for the first test run.

gave mine an italian tune up , don't think it's hurts once in a while

took the dogs out and whilst down a nice clear bit of road gave it a good thrashing , the D3 not the dogs, lol

nice amount of smoke came out for around 30 x seconds then cleared , after that the bloody thing went like stink

put it into command shift to hold the the gears

i was going to free off the turbo actuator arm but going up and down hills seems to have freed it off, can tell the difference

so that's its xmas pressie , lol

Like I said, but it might be a moment of mid-summer madness before I actually fit them!
