I don't think so. The advert does not meansion the important bits, like service history and rot. If you don't start with a sound vehicle both mechanically and rot free, then it will go down hill quite quickly. It meansions lots of money spent, but the add-ons don't appear to be the best on the market.
Without viewing it and asking the right questions, you will never know I suppose.

Depends on what you want, but for that much, it would have to be spotless underneath, with all the rot prone areas fixed, and fixed properly ( and the properly is the killer - not plated over and "welded" by a pigeon ). V8's are loverly, but unless its on LPG it will eat fuel, so whether that fits with your budget, ( or not ), only you know....

Also the added "extras" - someone above commented on them "not being the best" = probably less than ideal.

with enough ability the mechanics can be rescued from most so called maintenance - but one without a service history, or lots of bills to show at least some interest might get painful quite quickly. Unless you really know what you are doing, my advice is to steer well clear. The MOT history, which you can download for free, will give you a good indication of basic stuff - if it has repeated advisories for basic stuff ( like tyres ), then its probably safe to assume that previous owners weren't that interested... ( and you should probably look elsewhere too IMHO )

D1's can rot for fun, so for that money it really does need to be immaculate bodily. ( I will qualify that by adding they DO rot for fun, unless they are waxoyled / dinitrol'd / fertan'd etc. plenty of info on here.... )

Bear in mind also, that you can import a D1 from Japan for about a grand more, which WILL be rot free ( no salt, and MEGA stringent testing ), and will have less miles.

Take a look at www.algysautos.com for some examples - granted you have to wait 12 weeks, but IMHO, it will probably be worth it, YMMV.

just out of interest, I had a look on fleabay, and found this:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-es-V8-auto-met-Green-7-seats/121876601734

less miles, more original, and claims to have a service history - perhaps more importantly, less money too - in fact I might guess that the difference would buy you the extra goodies, if you wanted them....( same caveats apply to it though, as the one you linked !)

Thanks guys, I decided not to in end. Looked at a 2000 v8, full history, new mot, new service and a 12 month warts and all warranty.
