Is this a series 1 seat? its not like anything I've seen before....it doesn't look like a car seat at all.

Doesn’t look like any I’ve ever seen.

Can’t be a whole lot of 40s Land Rover stuff since it was only ‘48/‘49. Maybe it’s a one off custom back seat? I’d have thought there’d be nothing but benches though.

The only series one I can imagine it came from would be an 80" station wagon. Though having just checked "Original Land Rover" by James Taylor I'd say it isn't!

Not if it’s got a seat box. You’d be sat above the windscreen.

Anyway . It is the front seat from the long lost Centre steer prototype and probably worth £1,000 . Snap it up while you can .

I've seen seats like that in old MOD trucks, 40's 50's never in any type of landy.

Its got button leather upholstery so its not MOD. Canvas or nothing for squaddies! My guess is its the fold down seat from an old limo.
