I've noticed a difference in the temperature of the air coming out of the centre air vents and those at either side of the dash (passenger/driver). It's not hugely different - the air is still warm but noticeably warmer from the centre vents than the other two.

Would this be down to the blend motors?

No. All the vents share the same supply controlled by the distribution flaps. Which act equally on both sides. They are not independent as are the blend flaps.

So would this just be a natural temperature difference due to how cold it is at the moment.. or the distribution flaps?

The outer vents are further away from the inlet flow than the centre vents. There are a couple of foam lined joints maybe the foam has broken down and the flow is sucking cooler air in from beneath the dash.

Thanks wammers - to the rescue as usual :)

Ive noticed that I get a distinctly cooler blast of air from the centre when i turn a corner whilst the programme button is on. When I'm going straight it stays toasty warm. Anyone any suggestions ?:confused2:

Air in the heater matrix causing the coolant within to move about when cornering??

Yeah don't go round corners.

Cheers Saint, Is this an indicator of a problem somewhere down the line ?

Possibly just needs to be re-bled...

Check all hoses and connections to ensure security and water/air tightness and check your expansion tank every few days, dropping level indicates a leak somewhere!
