could someone in the know tell me if this is an mot fail? It is on the rear leg of my discovery 2. I am assuming it will need to be repaired at some point if not immediately but if so, could it be plated?

Ahh the picture.

I don't mind attacking it later with an angle grinder / steel rotary wire combo but just now, need it just to get through the mot.

You should be fine then. You'll laugh when you see the size of the hammer the mot tester uses, it wouldn't break a lump of toffee :D

This would take a good thrashing like to make a hole in that. I do need to investigate it further but not this week if you understand. My chassis protection stuff is just not working. I must have put so much man hours into it but just not getting there whatsoever. I will post up my box section repairs shortly and hopefully you can give me a little advise on whether they should pass. I was told at the previous mot place that these sections under the door sills were not structural hence gave them a shot with my welder.

i suppose it depends on the m.o.t tester,if
it passes i think it will be down as an advisory.
i hope it passes for you mate.

Hoping too. I would just like for once to get a clear run on the mot with this car. I was going to post the welding that I had done however the camera cannot focus that close.
