Here we have one 1990 Defender 130 200tdi complete with PTO winch and a gear box.

Everything else except the chassis is cheese. I put my finger through the crossmember, outriggers and bulkhead.

Engine is shot, but i had a dream of using a D3 V6 engine or a TD5.

It has been dumped with a scenic sea view and had been robbed of many parts over a period of about 15 years.

So here's the question...would I be potty to consider this as a long term project and how much should I offer?

I have a ready supply of coins from down the back of the sofa and a cupboard full of Twix and Mars.

Your thoughts are most welcome.

Needs noo chasssis and bulkhead plus all the missing parts. I wiouldmn't bother unless it's very cheap then it's worth it for the winch and PTO.. and scrap the rest.

Offer em £200. tell em only thing worth having is the winch & bumper. Yu woin't be lying.

Not much left to save on that one. Other thing to consider is how are you going to shift it. Pulling it out with a tractor would probable rip it in half

The chassis seemed quite solid, just the bulkhead, rear x member and outriggers are cheese.

I considered selling the tub, winch and pto to fund some of the restoration.

looks like a nice project.... all depends on the price i guess.... I would say its only worth it if you plan to keep it as you won't get the money back you put into it

Absolutely, it would be a labour of love. :D

Are there actually any undented panels on it, the only things that look unmolested are the headlights. Looks a huge money pit to me,

How far away is it as the last time I went through Nuneaton I don't remember a sea view. I know the A5 get's flooded now and again but I didn't think it was that bad

cant believe those back doors are still there and the roof is worth a bit .
would say its not worth more than £200/300 at most tbh though
