I’m after some advice, I’ve got a series 1 and I’m wanting to put series 2-3 rims on it, is there anyway of doing it with adapters or spacers?
Cheers dan

They made 3 different swb series 1’s. What axles/hubs and wheel studs have you got? What year is the vehicle.

PCD and centre bore should all be fine. It’ll be the stud length if anything. Have you tried fitting any?

I thought this as well which surely make sit a null question. A bit liking asking if you can fit defender wheels to a series II/III vehicle. How does the stud length make a difference? I thought unless a HD (Wolf) wheel they were again all the same.

I’m not a Series 1 expert. But I seem to recall very early models had slightly different studs or something. But this may not stop S2 rims fitting. My hunch is it would be a non issue.

Nor am I by a long way, I recall in the depths of memory the studs being smaller but thought the spacings were the same and the wheels fit was still fine as the nut is still large enough to mount into the cone. I am Sure and adult will be along shortly to correct us.

The smaller nut size remained in use up to early 2a. There have been over the years plenty of series One's fitted with larger tires using later wider rims, even the very wide Forward Control ones. Down side here is it limits the steering lock a lot.
Series 1,2,3 SWB rims are all the same. As @300bhp/ton notes not for early 80 inch models. I think something to do with over loading the Tracta joints [ sort of a CV ] in the front axle.
What year is your Landy?
