I messaged the Faceache page nearly two months ago asking what do i get for my subscription and have had no reply. No sign of a web page, so is it finished?
It would be just my luck now i've finally got my wallet on my own 101 ambulance...

It was always a little patchy, but I would suggest looking up the club secuitary and emailing them direct, rather than going via Facebook.

It used to be that you got your copy of the magazine, which was quite good, and access to the club spares department.

Then someone has the daft idea of making the club forum "members only" and the number of posts went down and it's probably gone the same way as "friends reunited" now (prequel to Facebook that killed itself asking for a subscription)

101 spares (or whatever it's called) carries more spares than the club ever seemed to also.

(I've owned a 101 for over 20 years - I have nothing against the club outside of the foolish members only development of the forum, but I've also been a member for very few of those 20 years)

The EMLRA have just taken that rather arrogant & naive decision despite my protests. A sense of the disquiet can be seen on this thread on Series 2 forum.

Sadly i joined up after the magazine went out of print. As it's only £15 i'll let the subscription carry on and see what happens. www.101parts.co.uk
Sadly, i'm well aquainted with Martin (buying far too many parts) 😁. I was up at Able yesterday collecting two swivel seals and an exchange master cylinder as the previous one didn't survive the bleeding process before deciding to pump fluid back into the reservoirs. I think i'm coming to the end of parts i need to buy, at least for a while anyway.
If all goes well i'll have the new master cylinder on and brakes bled after work tomorrow!
Then it's just a case of fitting the long list of parts i've bought and then instead of complaining to mates about the nightmare brakes, it'll be the crappy fuel consumption! Being someone whose last 8 or so cars have all been diesels, the worst i've had to put up with were the Discos, both 300TDi and TD5 that averaged around 30/35mpg...

EMLRA is one of the half dozen online forums i've joined since buying the 101. I've been a member of the Series 2 Club for a few years. I don't think i've ever been on the forum. Just renew and read the magazine when it drops on the carpet.

Noone is going to pay to use a forum in this age.
I mean, noone...

So, in that knowledge, why deny interested parties from contributing?

I'm on loads of different forums for different topics.
Some I ask more than I answer, and, others, the other way around.

The ones where I answer more sure as hell wouldn't get those answers if I had to pay to give them.

Truly idiotic. Again, friends reunited could have been as big as Facebook - they were first...

But they wanted their subscription fee, and where are they now?

Hi. I've just received an email from the 101 club regarding the membership renewal date, very little other details other than how to pay so must still be running.

As suggested contact the membership secretary by the Club site.

As for what you get for your Fifteen quid, to be honest not very much at present. Access to cheaper parts is perhaps the main item.

Club currently being run by 4 people so Join and volunteer to do one of the many vacancies including Magazine Editor.
As you may guess I am one of the 4. People complain but are never willing to volunteer some free time to help run and improve the Club.

Is the Club perfect in a word No! To all you 101 owners out there Join & become an active member and help to bring it back up to what it was in the early 2000's
