When I passed my driving test in the year....tiddly spot doo!!! my first car was this old series 3 109" 1 ton, fitted with the 2.6ltr straight six. It got me wondering if the old girl was still going. I ran her for about 5 years but ended up having to sell her because there was a lot of welding work needed on the chassis and I was in no position to afford it. I sold it to a friend of a friend of a friend as basically scrap value. We've long since lost contact with the friend of a friend of a friend.

I did like the car even though it was a bit old and worn out, drank fuel like it was going out of fashion and not blindingly fast which made the motorway an interesting experience!!! but it was fun living and working out the back of her...I had my bedding in there and all my tools.

A few years later I bought myself a 1990/91 200TDi 110 which I love just as much even though it is now starting to feel her age but not quite as much as my first Land Rover. So if anyone knows whats happened to BWG 271T then I'd love to know.
