So im looking to buy a project 90 but im not too sure what i should pay for one as the prices seem really varied.
The one im looking at needs some work, a wee bit of welding, brakes and a couple small bits. The landy has a bull bar with spot lights and a winch, has a quad light bar on the roof, sports seats fitted, navigation system fitted on the inside and dash is a bit modified. It has a 200TDI engine fitted.
The welding would be to the cross member, outriggers and footwells (I can weld so thats not a problem)
The doors are apparently rusty too.
The good thing is that it has a 4" lift and is sitting on Weller wheels with decent tread.

If you can, can you help me value it what it would be worth right now and after it would be finished?

Hard to say without seeing it, somewhere between 1500 - 2500 and unless the 4" lift has been done correctly I'd be inclined to remove it cos it'll corner like a heap of ****e. Ultimately it's worth what you're willing to pay for it

Would that be £1500-2500 as it is right now ?
 
lots of shiney pointless bolt ons can make a pile of crap look attractive....................... ignore all of those and assess the base vehicle - just the rear x member? Unlikely..................... bulkhead? unfortunately for you it's a sellers market - not many defenders around below 2 grand regardless of condition, Good luck
 
if you spend £2000 on it then a years labour every weekend and most dry evenings plus £2000in parts. You will have a truck worth about £2500

£2500 for a working 90 200 tdi with a year's mot in good condition? I never find them for a price like that
 
The rust is ALWAYS worse than you think and theres always more of it than you think.
