Hi everyone,
My Speedo packed up last month and after checking cable's etc found that it was the head not working, after getting hold of a second hand head I've found one of the green bulb holders has broken and is floating about inside, is it possible to take the head apart on both units and swap the bulb holder's over

Anything is possible.

They are not really meant to come apart to stop people "fixing" the odometer reading, but I dare say you could split it somehow.

My first thoughts would be probably to try and work out where the internals connect to the casing, and maybe slice the back off it.

it is held by metal ring- I have not had success in these as the ring does not go back.

possibly if you used grommets and current limited led you could illuminate that way if you carefully insulate them.

Thanks for that, I've tried to get the ring off the old one but no joy so now thinking of painting the bulb green and sticking the holding tube to the head with tiger seal or something along those line's and if that dosnt work rubber grommets is my next plan, will let ya know if it work's, thanks again
